SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Can 50 Cent tell the future? I’ll let you be the judge. Things continue to heat up for Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and that could mean big things for Shreveport.

In December 2024, 50 Cent partnered with Lionsgate to create 50 Cent Action, a channel dedicated to providing action-packed movies and television series for viewers. This includes 50 Cent’s hit show Power, which was also produced by Jackson’s own production company, G-Unit Film & Television Inc.

The channel is one of the first ever talent-branded “FAST channels,” a streaming service similar to traditional cable TV but without a subscription or fee.

A December press release from Roku quotes 50 confidently stating, “We’ll be #1 in no time.”

Fast-forward five months, and the channel received not one but two number one spots on two different platforms.

On April 22, Jackson announced on his Instagram page that his channel, Lionsgate’s 50 Cent Action, had become the number one action channel on LG TV. As of yesterday, March 1, he shared an article from Deadline stating that he had also secured the top position on The Roku Channel.

50 Cent’s good news did not stop there. An Instagram page for the 50 Cent Action channel shared that it can now be watched on Vizio WatchFree+ and Sling Freestream, adding two more platforms where viewers can watch the channel for free.

50 Cent hints at projects in the works stating on Instagram, “I haven’t been posting because I’ve been working on some things. I have some exciting projects coming on ROKU.”

The announcement indicated that significant developments with Roku are on the horizon. In addition to taking over the former Millennium Studios building, G-Unit Studios finalized an agreement with the Shreveport City Council in March 2025 to acquire Stageworks. This large venue, which had previously served as an expo hall and soundstage, has been largely unused for the past 20 years.

Plans are now underway to transform it into a sports and entertainment venue. In March 2025, an agreement was finalized between 50 and the Shreveport City Council to acquire Stageworks, a large venue that was once an expo hall and soundstage but has seen very little use in the past 20 years. Plans are now in place to convert it into a sports and entertainment venue.

Curtis is excited to take on new ventures in the city, ending nearly every post with his new signature phrase, “All Roads Lead to Shreveport.”
