Sheriff reports arrests for fraud and domestic abuse charges

LEESVILLE, La. (WNTZ) — Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced several recent arrests, including charges ranging from insurance fraud to disturbing the peace and domestic abuse battery.

On April 26, Pamela Corley Hardy, 56, of Anacoco, was arrested and charged with one count of Disturbing the Peace – Intoxication in Public and one count of Simple Battery. Her bond was set at $2,162. A detainer was also placed on Hardy by the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole. She remains in custody at the Vernon Parish Jail.

On April 29, Kayla Romero, 42, of New Llano, was arrested on an out-of-jurisdiction warrant. She was subsequently transferred to Natchitoches Parish.

On April 30, Hannah Dawn McMickell, 36, of Kirbyville, Texas, was arrested on an out-of-jurisdiction warrant for Jasper County. McMickell remains in the Vernon Parish Jail awaiting extradition.

Two additional arrests occurred on May 1. Daniel Robles, 22, of Fort Polk, was arrested and charged with one count of Insurance Fraud. His bond has not been set, and he remains in jail. Also arrested was Logan Kent Craft, 31, of Leesville, who was charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery and one count of Entry on or Remaining on Land or in a Place Where Forbidden. Craft also remains in custody without bond.

All cases remain under investigation.
