The first position is the councilmember at-large. Candidates include Republican “Jim” Talbot and Democrat Shaunn Wyche.
The other position is the District 4 councilmember. Republican Patricia “Patty” Cook and Independent David Madaffari are running for the vacant seat.
Both positions advanced to a runoff during the March 29 election. Seven candidates ran for the councilmember at-large position, and four ran for the District 4 councilmember seat.
Republican Dustin Yates was elected mayor in the March 29 election. He won with 65% of the votes over his opponent, Jim Morgan.
Election Day is Saturday, May 3, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters must present a valid photo ID or a special identification card with their name and photograph to cast a ballot.
Voters not in the military or overseas must return absentee ballots to their Registrar of Voters’ Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
