Adult rescued after fire breaks out at 4-story building in SF

(KRON) — One person was rescued from a four-story housing complex Thursday evening in San Francisco, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) posted on X. An electrical fire was reported around 7:19 p.m. in the 1700 block of Mission Street.

One adult by the second-floor window required rescue when “flames and smoke (were) quickly approaching him,” SFFD wrote. The person was rescued and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

SFFD called this incident an “accidental” fire.

The fire was contained as of 7:31 p.m. According to SFFD, no people were displaced as a result of the fire.
