SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. — April 30, 2025
A Sullivan couple was arrested Tuesday following a criminal investigation by the Indiana State Police into the alleged neglect of a dependent that resulted in the child’s hospitalization.
Destiny R. Williams, 22, and Josiah Q. Horton, 20, both of Sullivan, were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Sullivan County Jail. Each faces one count of Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Bodily Injury, a Level 5 felony. Bond for both individuals was set at $15,000.
The investigation began in March after state police received a report that a child had been neglected and required hospitalization as a result. Master Trooper Detective Angie Hahn led the investigation.
Following a review of the case by the Sullivan County Prosecutor’s Office, arrest warrants were issued for both suspects.
The Indiana Department of Child Services and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
Authorities emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
