Storms to hit Acadiana this afternoon, affecting commute

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – After morning storms pushed through Acadiana, sunnier and drier conditions brought better lunchtime weather to the region. Spotty storm chances return this afternoon and could impact your evening commute. Overnight, skies will clear and high humidity will set in.

Friday starts out dry but storms return to the forecast in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures reach the mid 80s before the rain arrives. Storms will continue off and on through the overnight hours before finally pushing east of the area by Noon Saturday.

Once this system passes, we see quieter conditions settling in for Sunday and the beginning of next week. Rain returns by midweek, however, with daily hit and miss storm chances.
