Crack cocaine and cash seized in Vermilion Parish arrest
VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Deputies conducted a narcotics investigation leading a seizure of a over 41 grams of suspected crack cocaine and approximately $5,155 in US currency, authorities said.

Damion Fletcher, 50, was arrested and charged for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, transactions involved in drug proceeds, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice, authorities said.

According to authorities, they said Fletcher had active non-support warrants. On Monday, while contacting Fletcher to place him under arrest, he ran on foot then was immediately apprehended without incident.

Fletcher is being held at the Vermilion Parish Jail. No bond information has been released.
