BATON ROUGE, La. (
Louisiana First) — A Zachary man accused of molesting foster children was sentenced to a 319-year life sentence.
Michael Hadden, 54, was found guilty of charges including sexual battery, molestation of a juvenile, and aggravated crime against nature.
“We are pleased with the court’s 319-year sentence of this defendant, which is in effect a life sentence,” said East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore. “This sentence reflects the very heinous crimes which he committed to those vulnerable victims that were under his care.”
In August 2022, Hadden was arrested after an investigation involving foster children. Court records show he pleaded not guilty to charges in November 2022.
A victim reported to a social worker that his foster parent sometimes made them “feel uncomfortable” because “inappropriate things happen,” an affidavit stated. Investigators learned the victim lived with Hadden from March 2017 to April 2022.
