According to the Boone County Fire Protection District 2, around 6 p.m., crews were dispatched to Mile Marker 31 in Garden Prairie where a black Buick had collided with a semi truck.
The driver was out of the car and walking around with minor injuries when responders reached the scene. Authorities said they were sent to the hospital as a precaution.
While the rescuers were on the scene, they were dispatched to a second accident near Mile Marker 19 in Belvidere, where a white Chevrolet Volt had collided with a semi.
Officials said the vehicle had minor damage and one person was also taken to the hospital.
