By rssfeeds-admin PINEVILLE, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Louisiana Christian University Wildcats have undergone massive improvement under Head Coach Mike Byrnes.
Before Byrnes, the team put together nine winning seasons in its first 61 years. With Byrnes, the team has notched 14 in 25 seasons. A 13-2 seven-inning victory over Texas College ensures another winning season, the team’s fifth in a row. The win, LCU’s thirteenth consecutive over Texas College, takes the team to 27-23 overall and 16-14 in the Red River Athletic Conference.
The newly reformatted RRAC Tournament is next for Louisiana Christian. LCU will enter as the sixth or seventh seed and will face Houston-Victoria, Our Lady of the Lake or Texas A&M-Texarkana.
