Bridge #083501180205661, at milepost 5.726 approximately 5.89 miles north of LA 8, will remain closed to all traffic until further notice. DOTD officials have placed concrete barriers at the site to prevent passage.
Drivers are advised to follow designated detour routes. Northbound traffic will detour from LA 119 to LA 8 westbound, then to Interstate 49 northbound, and back to LA 119. Southbound traffic will detour from LA 119 northbound to I-49 southbound, then to LA 8 eastbound, and back to LA 119.
DOTD urges motorists to exercise caution and be prepared for travel delays. Updates on the bridge closure and repairs will be provided as they become available.
