Abbeville High School to go virtual-only Wednesday due to water issues

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) — Abbeville High School will conduct a virtual school day on Wednesday because of water supply issues, authorities said.

According to a post on the school’s Facebook page, a main water line leak is currently causing issues and needs to be replaced.

“The City of Abbeville along with the VPSB maintenance department will need to shut off the main line and we will not have water available at the school,” the post read. “Please make all necessary adjustments for your student(s).”

All students are responsible for checking Google Classroom and completing virtual assignments during this time, the post read.

“Reminder to all Seniors that all coursework is due by Friday, May 2nd, including online Edgenuity courses,” the post read. “Please be responsible and plan accordingly.”
