LACOMBE, La. (WGNO) — A new nature park is coming to Lacombe.

St. Tammany Parish officials said the $2 million project is set to include kayak launches, boardwalks and more.

The Lacombe Nature Park will be 25 acres and feature a Swamp Experience, a Woodland Trail Loop, an Industrial Discovery Zone and a Marsh District with walking paths, as well as areas for picnics.

Parish officials said the park will be between the Bayou Lacombe Boat Launch, the Bayou Lacombe Bridge Trailhead and the Tammany Trace. Those wanting to head to the park must go through the Tammany Trace.
