Conservationist Robert Irwin announces Pennsylvania NFL draft pick

(WHTM) — Australian wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin announced a 2025 NFL Draft pick who played college football in Pennsylvania.

A post from the NFL on X depicts Irwin at the Australia Zoo in Queensland, Australia, with a snake draped around his shoulders, announcing the 242nd pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In the video, Irwin announced the Los Angeles Rams selecting Konata Mumpfield, a wide receiver from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mumpfield was an All-ACC Honorable Mention and compiled 52 receptions for 813 yards (15.6 avg.) and five touchdowns in 2024 for the Pittsburgh Panthers. Mumpfield led Pitt in receptions (tied), receiving yards, and yards per catch.

“What Mumpfield lacks in size and speed for the position, he makes up for with outstanding route running and a professional mentality,” NFL scout Eric Edholm said of Mumpfield.
