Eagles decline Jahan Dotson’s 5th-year option

(WHTM) — The Philadelphia Eagles have declined the 5th-year option on wide receiver Jahan Dotson, according to a report.

Fox Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz posted on X that the Eagles declined Dotson’s option, rendering him a free agent after this upcoming season.

Dotson was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He and a fifth-round pick selection were traded to the Eagles in August 2024 in exchange for a third and two seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Dotson played college football at Penn State, where he racked up more than 2,700 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns throughout four years.

The Eagles have the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
