Rock County woman found dead during house fire

ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WTVO) — A woman was found dead during a house fire on Friday.

Around 4 a.m., Lakeside Firefighters were called to a house on Ansley Avenue in Milton, Wisconsin, for reports that the structure was on fire.

The 911 caller told dispatchers she believed someone might be inside.

First responders immediately entered the home upon arrival to find a woman dead in the front living room before putting out the fire.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but indicated the fire was an accident.
