Baxter County Sheriff’s Office hosts drug take back event Saturday

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is participating in National Drug Take-Back Day to allow residents to help remove unwanted, unused and potentially dangerous controlled substances and over the counter medications from their medicine cabinets.

The event will take place Saturday morning from 10 to 2 in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company.

In order to help remove substances which could be used for illegal purposes or be a public health and safety risk, Sheriff John Montgomery says any drugs will be accepted with no questions asked.
