Stephen Adam Angley, 37, was arrested for Manslaughter Thursday for the death of Alexander Lara, 17, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.
The exact circumstances surrounding Angley’s arrest have not been disclosed, but it comes during an investigation that began after Lara was shot and killed at a property on CR 306 in Hamby last week.
Lara was pronounced dead at the hospital and the Sheriff’s Office stated the shooter, who was not identified as Angley until his arrest, was cooperating with the investigation.
The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division is providing assistance with this case.
