SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A playground in San Francisco is back open after winter storms in 2022 forced a closure and years of damage repairs.

Peixxoto Playground is located in the Corona Heights section of the city at Roosevelt Way and 15th Street, near the Randall Museum.

San Francisco Recreation & Parks said project repairs included “removing the debris and installing safety netting on the hillside, as well as repairing an exterior water leak at the clubhouse, renovating a large area of the play structure and repainting the clubhouse and play structure.”

Playground officials thanked its maintenance, park services and property management teams for “their diligent and amazing work on this park.”

Residents are encouraged to plan their next trip here.
