Body discovered in Ridgeland landfill identified

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials have identified the body that was discovered in a Ridgeland landfill.

According to the Madison County deputy coroner, the man was identified as Howard Earl Banks, Jr., 54.

Banks’ body was discovered at the Little Dixie Landfill on North County Line Road around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Banks died of complications of a known medical condition. No foul play is suspected in the case.
