SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A suspect was arrested after the Shreveport Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at the 2900 block of Peach Street.
SPD officers discovered a 17-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the upper back/lower left shoulder. The victim told officers that a male acquaintance stabbed him. The victim received aid from Shreveport Fire Department Medics before being transported to Ochsner LSU Health for further treatment.
“SPD Patrol Officers quickly located the suspect inside the apartment identified by the victim,” a press release stated. “The suspect, identified as Jason Fisher Jr., was detained at the scene. SPD Violent Crimes Investigators were notified and responded to conduct further investigation.”
According to the release, Fisher faces one count of Aggravated Battery. He was also found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest from the Bossier City Police Department and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The SPD said the investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
