Slightly cooler and quieter weather start Wednesday in Acadiana as temperatures have cooled into the 60s. Very warm and humid weather will quickly return as highs near 85° this afternoon.
Another round of scattered showers and storms is expected after lunchtime as rain chances increase to 60%. Severe weather is not expected but heavy rains and slow moving storms could lead to localized flash flooding in isolated areas. Rain chances should fade away this evening for the opening night of Festival International.
