Livability says Abilene’s one of the best places to live — again!

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – For at least the second year in a row, Abilene has earned a spot on Livability’s list of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the United States. This year, the Key City ranks No. 78.

Livability recently released its annual rankings, highlighting cities across the country based on various quality-of-life factors. Several other Texas cities made the list, including Flower Mound, Sugar Land, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Tyler, Midland, and College Station.

“We partnered with Applied Geographic Solutions (AGS) to curate our Top 100 Best Places To Live in the U.S. based on nearly 100 data points and an algorithm that takes into account measures of a city’s economy, housing and cost of living, amenities, transportation, environment, safety, education and health,” Livability shared on its website.

Livability reports that Abilene is home to 128,010 residents, with a median home value of $182,377. Here’s how Abilene scored, in comparison to the number one town in each category:
