PARLIER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A gang member was arrested after being found with “large amounts of marijuana” and a stolen weapon during a traffic stop in Parlier, the Parlier Police Department said.

Officers say they pulled over a Honda traveling west on Parlier Avenue on Friday after spotting a code violation. During a search of the car, officers say they located a stolen firearm and “large amounts of marijuana.”

The driver, who police say admitted to being a gang member, was taken into custody and transported to the Fresno County Jail. He is being held on suspicion of unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana over an ounce.
