Driver admits to being gang member during traffic stop in Parlier, police say

PARLIER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver who admitted to being a gang member was taken into custody in Parlier after a traffic stop, the Parlier Police Department said Monday.

Police said on April 18, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Hadar Avenue and Eric Avenue. The driver was stopped for an observed vehicle code violation.

According to police, officers contacted the driver, who was the only occupant in the car.

During the traffic stop, police said that when they searched the vehicle, they found a Glock-style semi-automatic firearm.

According to police, the driver admitted to being a gang member and he was taken into custody. Police say he was transported to the Fresno County Jail.
