The #5-seeded Court Cats had never won a conference tournament match in the modern era before their win over # 4-seeded LSU Shreveport. They followed up with an upset over #1 seed LSU Alexandria to make the finals.

Their run ended in the championship round, losing to the #6-seeded Our Lady of the Lake Saints in the finals. A win would have guaranteed them a position in the NAIA (National

Association of Intercollegiate Sports) tournament. As it stands, with six ranked wins in their first winning season, the Cats are hopeful for an at-large bid. The NAIA will announce at-large spots on April 29.
