
According to police, Joshua Sokolik was wanted for retail theft, trespassing, and resisting an officer in Janesville, and retail theft in Beloit, with additional warrants for retail theft, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
He was spotted around 3:35 p.m. near the intersection of S. Jackson Street and W. Racine Street, police said.
An officer stopped to arrest him, but authorities said Sokolik ran away and was found hiding beneath the deck of a nearby residence.
When he refused to come out, police set loose K9 Viktos, who “assisted in apprehending” him.
In addition to the aforementioned charges, Sokolik now faces charges of Resisting an Officer, Retail Theft, and Trespassing.
He was booked into the Rock County Jail.
