The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission approved the addition. The program combines computer science applications with the fundamentals of electrical engineering. University president Dr. Ross Alexander is excited, stating, “We are thrilled to be adding a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering to our expanding catalog of academic programs.”
Students start by learning basic engineering, calculus, and physics. They then use that knowledge as a foundation to proceed to more complicated topics such as data communications and electronics.
The program will begin admitting students for the upcoming fall 2025 semester.
