LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Warm and windy conditions will be around today as Spring sets in. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the area as winds will gust over 30 miles per hour at times. While we will see plenty of cloud cover, rain is not expected today. Temperatures will quickly rise into the 80s this afternoon. Tonight, winds will stay up and the air will be very sticky.

Easter Sunday looks to remain mostly dry with warm and breezy conditions continuing. A stray shower will be possible but the highest rain chances remain to our north and west. Highs reach the mid 80s during the afternoon.

Heading into next week, unsettled weather settles in as a weak front settles into the area. Daily rain chances persist with the highest rain chances midweek. Severe weather is not expected for our area at this time. The rain will help bring temperatures down slightly into the lower 80s.
