Pedestrian killed in crash at Rockford intersection

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A pedestrian is dead after he was hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning.

Around 12:30 a.m., Rockford Police were called to the crash at the intersection of North 2nd and Auburn Streets.

The pedestrian was experiencing life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital immediately.

Police confirmed the pedestrian died due to his injuries around 10 a.m.
