Reservoir Police Chief Carlos DiPuma said the police department received a report about a capsized boat around noon on Friday, April 18 about 700 yards from Brown’s Landing.
When authorities arrived at the scene, DiPuma said they discovered three males who had capsized while attempting to tow a disabled vessel. Rankin County deputies deployed a drone to help locate the capsized vessel.
DiPuma said one of his officers, in coordination with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP), located the males and retrieved them from the water. They were transported back to Brown’s Landing, where medical personnel assessed their conditions. No injuries were reported.
