Bensalem man accused of sexually assaulting children between the ages of 3 and 11

(WPHL)– A man in Bensalem has been arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting three children between the ages of 3 and 11 years old.

62-year-old Mohhamed Alam was arrested after Bensalem Police received information from Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center after a juvenile female told them Alam inappropriately touched her when she was between the ages of 7 and 11 years old.

The juvenile told BCCAC that she was at Alam’s home for a community event when he lured her into his bedroom, provided her candy from a candy jar in his bedroom, and had her get into a YOGA pose by forcing her to spread her legs while he touched her inappropriately.

Police also interviewed another child who told them Alam lured her in the same way with candy from the candy jar in his bedroom. She was between the ages of 5 and 8 when Alam inappropriately touched her.

The third child interviewed by police was between the ages of 3 and 9 when Alam inappropriately touched her. Alam had lured her into his bedroom, gave her candy, and had her sit on his lap as he touched intimate areas of her body. She told police that he was in a “state of arousal” while she was on his lap.

Bensalem police executed a search warrant at Alam’s residence, and found evidence that supported the victim’s accounts.

Alam turned himself into police on April 17. He was charged with Indecent Assault and Corruption of Minors. He was released after posting 10% of $100,000 bail.
