VERNAL, Utah (ABC4) — A Vernal man has been arrested after meeting up with a 12-year-old and sexually assaulting her, court documents say.
Treyvin Lee Foote, 21, has been charged with enticing a minor with first-degree felony sexual activity, sexual abuse of a child, and unlawful kissing of a child.
On Sept. 2, 2025, an officer with the Vernal Police Department began investigating a case where Foote allegedly sent nude images to a 12-year-old girl. The following week, the 12-year-old victim was brought in for an interview at the Children’s Justice Center.
During the interview, the victim told police that she had met Foote on social media. She said that he had sent her five nude photos of himself. The 12-year-old allegedly disclosed that on Aug. 30, 2025, she had met with Foote in person.
On Aug. 30, according to the victim, she was inside a vehicle with Foote when he touched her inappropriately and kissed her.
After meeting with the underage victim, documents say Foote was “confronted” and informed that she was 13 years old, but continued to speak with the child over social media. He allegedly stated that he wanted to have sex with the victim.
Police brought Foote in for an interview, where he stated that the 12-year-old victim told him she was 19, according to court documents. Foote allegedly admitted that he continued talking to the victim after learning that she was underage, and that he had kissed the 12-year-old, but denied ever touching her inappropriately.
Foote was arrested and booked into the Uintah County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail.
