In one of those cases, a burglary at a convenience store in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway, police say the thief wore a werewolf mask. They’ve also identified a suspect. Turns out, the suspect was arrested on a burglary charge a little more than two weeks prior to the werewolf heist but was released without having to post bond.
Another burglary case involved a suspect who wore a skeleton mask and sweatshirt to break through the roof of a business on South Carrollton Avenue to steal some of its merchandise.
The third case happened in Mandeville with a suspect who wore a medical mask into a grocery store to steal the wallet of a 91-year-old woman when she turned her back away from her shopping cart.
