On Wednesday, Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announced through a social media post the death of retired Sergeant Ernest William Remillard. Remillard passed on April 4 in Fresno of natural causes at 85 years old.
According to officials, Remillard worked at the sheriff’s office for nearly 30 years as a detective, on patrol and in the jails. His son says his dad loved working for the sheriff’s office.
“Sheriff Boudreaux and the men and women of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office offer their sympathy to his family and gratitude for his service,” reads the social media post.
