According to Lt. Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, the semi-truck “came up from behind and tried to swerve but hit the back of” the tractor. The crash caused the cab of the truck to be separated from the trailer.
Roden said there were no injuries reported.
“It’s no secret that when anybody walks away from a vehicle accident they are lucky. Especially when it involves a semi.. But this one’s a miracle,” the Garland Fire Department said on social media.
According to the Garland Fire Department, calls came in about the crash just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Several agencies responded to the scene, including Garland Fire, a Tremonton ambulance, UHP, and Tremonton Garland Police Department.
“Please remember to stay alert and cautious out there. Your safety matters,” Garland Fire said.
