Man killed in Far South Side shooting

CHICAGO – A man was shot and killed Tuesday night on the Far South Side.

Chicago police said the shooting happened in the 1000 block of West 115th Street near the West Pullman neighborhood.

Officers were sent to the area to investigate reports of a person who had been shot. When they arrived, they found a 19-year-old man who had been shot multiple times, according to investigators.

Police said an unknown suspect approached the victim, pulled out a gun and shot him. The suspect ran away in an unknown direction while the victim was taken to Roseland Hospital where he died.

No arrests have been made and Area Two Detectives are investigating.
