Man dead following Marrero shooting

MARRERO, La. (WGNO) — A man is dead following a shooting that happened in Marrero on Tuesday evening, April 15.

According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 5000 block of 4th Street just after 5:30 p.m.

On scene, they reportedly found a man having been shot at least once. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later pronounced dead.

No suspect or motive information was provided. The identity of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.
