According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 12:25 a.m. in the 500 block of Ames Boulevard, and involved two unknown shooters who were firing at an unknown man outside of a bar.
Two uninvolved people, identified as the now deceased Curtis Lawrence, as well as a female victim, were injured by the gunfire, though the female didn’t suffer life-threatening injury.
