3-year-old child hurt in Baton Rouge shooting Tuesday evening

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a Tuesday evening shooting that left one hurt.

BRPD responded to a call after 6:30 p.m. in the 500 block of N. 26th Street about a reported shooting. Officials confirmed that a three-year-old toddler was injured.

No further details were immediately available. This is an ongoing investigation.
