Gluckstadt police arrest man after chase in stolen car

GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WJTV) – Gluckstadt police arrested a man after a chase in a vehicle that was reported stolen in Georgia.

Police said the suspect, Nigel Keshune Wilcox, led officers on a short chase around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed on Interstate 55 near the 109-mile marker.

According to investigators, Wilcox was later seen near the Fleetway Service Station in Gluckstadt and ran into a wooded area behind Sonic. He was located a short time later and arrested.

Wilcox was transported to the Madison County Detention Center. He has been charged with felony eluding a police officer, receiving stolen property and reckless driving. Wilcox is expected to make his initial appearance in court on Wednesday, April 16.
