Investigation underway after man shot, killed in Adams County

NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Adams County deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed.

The Natchez Democrat reported the shooting occurred on Hillcrest Drive in the Cloverdale area around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.

Adams County Coroner James Lee identified the victim as William Ray, 63. His death was ruled a homicide.

Ray’s body was transported to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Investigators have not released information about a possible suspect.
