According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Ponchatoula Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired near the festival’s ticket booth around 9:25 p.m.
At the scene, TPSO officials said one victim was found with a graze wound and another victim was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
According to police, both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.
TPSO officials said the festival would be open on Sunday, starting with the 9 a.m. church service and closing at 5 p.m. The TPSO and other agencies will continue patrolling the festival grounds and other sections of the downtown area.
