Temporary lane closures planned in Clinton for road work

CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – There will be temporary lane closures in Clinton, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

MDOT officials said the outside lane of Springridge Road starting at the intersection of Fairmont St. and Springridge Road will be closed.

The lane closure will extend through the intersection of U.S. 80 and Springridge Road and continue south to approximately 100 feet past the construction limits of the new tie-in of Main Street and Springridge Road.

Crews will install curb, gutter and asphalt at the intersection of Main Street and Springridge Road in Clinton.

Starting just west of the Walgreen’s entrance on U.S. 80, officials said the westbound middle lane of U.S. 80 will serve as the Springridge Rd. southbound turn lane. Warning signs will be in place to direct drivers through the work zone.

The closures will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily from Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17, 2025.
