Rockford woman accuses man of strangling, punching her in Burton St. residence

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Toni Anderson, 56, after he was accused of strangling and punching a woman.

On April 9, around 5:47 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting domestic violence in the 1200 block of Burton Street.

The woman told authorities she was punched in the face and almost lost consciousness because Anderson was strangling her.

The victim had visible injuries, according to police.
