NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — An employee of the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services was arrested on Wednesday, April 9, following a traffic stop turned drug bust.
According to the Louisiana State Police, around 12 p.m., troopers with Troop NOLA pulled over 27-year-old Anthony Reed, of New Orleans, due to multiple reported traffic violations on North Claiborne Avenue near Elysian Fields Avenue.
In the vehicle, troopers allegedly found around 218 grams of suspected marijuana along with items consistent with drug distribution.
Reed was then reportedly arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Prison on one charge of possession with intent to distribute schedule I (marijuana,) and other traffic-related offenses.
