Louisiana woman turns herself in, accused of stealing drugs from oral surgery clinic
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A New Orleans woman turned herself in on Tuesday after being accused of stealing drugs from an oral surgery clinic.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, detectives were asked to investigate the LSU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty Practice in October 2024.
During the investigation, detectives learned that 34-year-old Mari-Alina Timoshchuk was reportedly taking controlled substances from the facility. It should be noted that Timoshchuk was a staff member at the clinic.
In December 2024, an arrest warrant was filed for Timoshchuk.
Timoshchuk was booked on charges of possession of a Schedule III drug, three counts of theft, and two counts of prohibited acts: all schedules.
