Police say around 1:30 a.m. they responded to reports of a shooting in the 1200 block of Orion Court.
Upon arrival, responding officers reported a woman who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head but was alert and conscious.
Police say the woman was transported to a local hospital where she is expected to survive. No arrests have been reported.
Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
