Byron teen arrested for DUI and speeding with three other teens in the car

OREGON, Ill. (WTVO) — A 15-year-old Byron teen without a driver’s license was arrested on DUI charges and speeding, with three other teens in the car on Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:08 p.m., deputies from the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office stopped a car in the 5000 block of N. Illinois Route 2.

Police said the teen driver was charged for No Valid Driver’s License, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Speeding.

A 14-year-old female from Oregon, a 16-year-old female from Byron, and a 17-year-old male from Byron were also in the vehicle and were each cited for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol Under the Age of 21.

All teens were released to their parents and provided with a future court date.
