According to the fire department, C-crew Tower 1 and Engine 7 rescued a family from their home near TTFD Seven’s fire station. ‘Tower 1 platform was extended to the house from the road due to the flooding and fast-moving water,’ said TTFD via social media.
The Texarkana Fire Department said the family could not safely evacuate on foot due to the rapidly rising water. They urge residents to refrain from exploring the roads unless absolutely necessary.
For citizens who could not pick up sandbags before the storm and need sandbags, Texarakana, Arkansas, informs residents to pick them up at 2601 Dudley Avenue. ‘They will be located at the building to the right of the property as you enter the gate.’
